Open to graduating 12th-grade seniors, female and male, in all public high schools in Sarasota and Manatee Counties. Each student may submit only one piece. The work must be the ORIGINAL work of the student and have been completed within the past year.
ENTRIES: You may submit a fiction or non-fiction piece or poetry. The word count must not exceed 1,500 words. Entries will be judged for creativity and technical quality with special attention to the following rules for manuscript submissions.

- Each student may submit only one entry, with the exception of poetry. We will accept up to 3 poems.
- The entry must be the ORIGINAL work of the student.
- No use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools or AI-generated content is permitted. All writing must be created solely by the student. Plagiarized or AI-assisted entries will be disqualified.
The deadline for entry is Sunday, March 1, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.
